the brownshoesonly video scanner is easiest to be thought of as a 4 input video crossfader. a signal at the scan input operates as your "cv" value determining which signals appear and where on the screen they appear. when a lfo is patched, the output sees a sequential crossfade of inputs. eg. 1,2,3,4,3,2,1.... step sequencing the scan input will allow you to pick and choose which signal is shown at each step. more interesting results come from patching more advanced patterns and processed camera feeds into the scan. In these scenarios lighter portions of the Scan signal will equate to input 4 and darker areas will show input 1. Th scanner works wonderfully with feedback channels.
