Douglas J McCarthy – Kill Your Friends is an enjoyable journey through the funkier side of electronic music as well as evoking the unmistakable sounds of Nitzer Ebb, a band he co-founded in 1982, and Fixmer/McCarthy, a project with legendary French techno stalwart, Terence Fixmer, in 2004.

McCarthy began writing his first ever solo album in 2010 during a European DJ tour with his wife, video artist Hazel Hill McCarthy III. He then started to record the album with Mark Bell and Cyrusrex whenever back home in LA over a year that found him performing over 150 shows with Nitzer Ebb, caring for his dying father in England, and travelling across India by train.

Recalling Cabaret Voltaire, Heroes era Bowie and Kraftwerk, this record devilishly blends industrial and experimental sounds with heavy dance floor beats and catchy melodies. 

12" comes with a Limited Edition CD.
